Frederic Grare


Frederic Grare is a non-resident senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He also served in New Delhi as director of the Centre for Social Sciences and Humanities and in the French Embassy in Pakistan. Dr. Grare is a leading expert and writer on South Asia; he has written extensively on security issues, Islamist movements, and sectarian conflict in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva.
