Mary Jo Baca

Biography

Mary Jo Baca began working with International Medical Corps in 2008 as Psychosocial Program Coordinator in Jordan. She has also provided support for International Medical Corps programs in Gaza and Haiti. Mary Jo’s first international experience was with the United States Peace Corps as a Volunteer in Madagascar. Her professional career began nearly 10 years ago with Albertina Kerr Centers in Oregon as a Psychiatric Technician and Treatment Counselor for children in residential care. Prior to joining International Medical Corps, Mary Jo worked with combat veterans at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Louisiana and as a Clinical Therapist with Namaste Child & Family Development Center in New Mexico. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in social science from Concordia University and Master of Arts degrees in public health and social work from Tulane University
